Grand Canyon University Police Department has received numerous reports of fraudulent activity targeting students. Please remain vigilant and use caution when receiving unexpected requests for money, checks, banking information, or other personal information. Do not cash or deposit checks received from unknown individuals, and do not send money to anyone you do not know or cannot independently verify. Be cautious of requests involving wire transfers, bitcoin, or promises of payment in exchange for depositing a check.

If you receive a suspicious message or request, do not respond or provide personal or financial information. Report the suspected fraud to Public Safety or file a complaint to the FBI internet crimes division at www.IC3.Gov.
