On September 6th, 2026, GCU Public Safety issued an AlertGCU notification regarding police activity near 27th Avenue and Missouri. This incident occurred off-campus and was handled by the Phoenix Police Department.

Once GCU Dispatch received confirmed details from PPD, we are able to share the following: PPD responded to a car accident and blocked off traffic heading Northbound towards 27th Avenue and Missouri. The incident was cleared at 5:49 AM. No GCU community member was involved in this incident.
